India was hit hard by Covid-19  during the dreadful second wave but the hope of economic recovery was underway. The Central and State government’s annual budget had considerable focus on rebuilding the economy. Pune was not left behind for the same. Cities like Chakan, Talegaon, Ranjangaon and Nagar Road received maximum attention from the year 2021 onwards. 

The most affected industry was the hospitality industry and so were we, Monarch Group of Hotels. But we didn’t lose hope like the nation and worked on growing strategically in line with industrial areas. We researched the areas with Industries and decided to have our corporate properties in these areas to cater to the needs of employees and staff working in these Industries.

With increasing manufacturing activities, industrial and warehousing space absorption has risen in the city of Pune. The Pune market witnessed a 50% increase from 2020 to 2021. On the supply side, the city witnessed completion of 4.4 million sq.ft in 2021, of which over 83% supply was witnessed in the Chakan- Talegaon micro-market. The Chakan- Talegaon micro- market accounted for 67% of the total industrial absorption witnessed in the city. Undoubtedly to cater to the needs of Chakan and nearby areas we launched our Properties in Chakan and Baner namely The Monarch, Serenity by Monarch and Monarch Montvert.

Covid-19 was a huge hurdle on our way but our strategic planning and determination helped us to grow in the MIDC areas of Pune like Chakan, Baner and Viman Nagar. Roles & Responsibilities

  • Handling incoming reservation requests via phone, email, or online platforms.
  • Confirming reservations and sending confirmation details to customers.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure the availability of rooms or services.
  • Managing cancellations, amendments,refunds and modifications to existing reservations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of reservations and customer information.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in reservation management software and tools.
  • Working in a team environment.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop hiring plans for every department in the hotel based on seasonal necessities.
  • Monitor employee working and attendance schedules including paid time off, breaks, and overtime.
  • Assess, screen, and interview job candidates. 
  • Work to onboard new hires to make them feel comfortable.
  • Report on employee turnover rates.
  • Managing the salaries of the employees.
  • Execute employee retention programs such as end-of-season bonuses.
  • Organize training programs for all hotel employees such as customer service skills training (soft skills training).
  • Serve as a liaison for employees who possess inquiries on job-related issues.
  • Collaborate accommodation, transport, and catering for our employees when needed.
  • Administer remuneration, severance, and benefits policies.
  • Make sure the hotel staff complies with relevant safety and health rules.
  • Arrange employee records such as contracts, and pay special attention to visas and work permits.
  • Maintain all employee appraisals as required by hotel management policy.
  • Assist with the preparation, coordination, and execution of employee programs and events, such as regular staff meetings, food festivals, annual picnics, holiday parties, Wellness Fairs, farewell parties, and community service projects, among others.
