Monarch Group of Hotels herein referred to as “MGOH” (collectively referred to as the “Company” or “MGOH” or “Us” and also indicated by “us”, “we” or “our”) and our affiliated companies, are committed to respecting your online privacy and recognize your need for appropriate protection and management of any personally identifiable information (“Personal Information”) you share with us based on applicable data protection laws and regulations.

 

This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) applies to all visitors, users and others (hereinafter referred to as “You” or the “User”) who access or use the (i) Website of Monarch Group Of Hotels (ii) the social media accounts and/or pages that MGOH control (Sites/Apps).

MGOH will provide you with the option to deal with MGOH without identifying yourself where it is lawful and practical. RETENTION, PROCESSING AND STORAGE OF INFORMATION:

Your personal data processed by MGOH are kept in a form which permits your identification for no longer than is necessary for the purposes for which the personal data are processed in line with legal, regulatory, contractual or statutory obligations as applicable.

At the expiry of such periods, your personal data will be deleted or archived to comply with legal/contractual retention obligations or in accordance with applicable statutory limitation periods.

INTERNATIONAL SHARING AND / OR TRANSFERS OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

MGOH is a global company and therefore uses global dealers, distributors, vendors, subcontractors and other business partners, as well as global IT systems and applications. We may require the transfer of PI/SPI to other third parties that are located outside of the MGOH’s country of business. We shall develop a standardised approach for protection of data moving across borders. We will adopt appropriate technical and administrative controls that apply well to cross border data flows to act as an accountability framework for information management as a whole and including natural checkpoints for each step of international transfer.

 

ACCESS AND ACCURACY

Upon receipt of appropriate identification information, and where required by applicable Data Protection Laws, MGOH will provide you with access to the information that it maintains about you.

At MGOH, we take your privacy very seriously, and we never monetize your information; we use it to enhance your experience. When it comes to your privacy rights, we want to make sure you have everything you need to make informed decisions. You have the right to: 

  • Right of Access – You have the right to be informed why and how we collect your personal data, how we will use this information, who we share it with, what are the security measures we take to protect this information and what your individual rights are; We will publish this information in this Privacy Notice. MGOH shall provide a copy of the personal information undergoing processing. For any further copies requested, please note that MGOH may charge a reasonable fee based on administrative costs
  • Right to Rectification – You have the right for inaccurate or incomplete data we hold to be updated.
  • Right to Erasure – Except in very specific cases where provided by law, you have the right to request that we delete any Personal Information which we are holding about you.
  • Right to Restriction of Processing – Except in very specific cases where provided by law, you have the right to restrict processing of all or some of your personal information (e.g., if we have no legal right to process it) or to limit our use of it (e.g., if your personal data is inaccurate or unlawfully held).
  • Right to Data Portability – You have the right to receive your personal information or to transmit that information to another controller in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format.
  • Right to Object to the Processing – You have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, at any time to processing of personal data concerning you. Such right can be exercised at any time where your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes
  • Right to object being subjected to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
  • You may opt-out of receiving non-essential (promotional, marketing-related) communications from us & or our Affiliates/Business Partner/Other Partners/Third Parties. If you want to opt-out from any such communication as mentioned above from MGOH then you may send an email to DPO email ID (as mentioned under “Contact Us” section of this policy).

At any stage, you can withdraw your consent to the retention/storage/processing of your Personal Information and MGOH shall erase the Personal Information withdrawn by you unless there is a contractual obligation or legal requirement/obligation to retain/hold it or otherwise permitted by law to retain it. However, upon such withdrawal, the Company will not be able to communicate with you and provide you with certain information on product and/or services which are required for fulfilment of any obligation.

MGOH may be allowed by law, in particular in case of excessive or manifestly unfounded request, to charge a fee for fulfilling your request, subject to applicable conditions.

MISCELLANEOUS

This Privacy Policy shall be governed by the laws of India and the courts in New Delhi shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to try any disputes arising thereof. This Privacy Policy shall be governed by any applicable data protection laws.

Identity Proof

In keeping with Government regulations, we request all guests (on single/double/triple occupancy) to carry a photo identity to present on check-in. Foreign nationals are required to present their valid passport and visa. Indian nationals can present any government issued photo identity address proof card e.g. driving license, passport, Aadhar card or voter’s ID card. PAN Card will not be accepted as the above. Also do keep handy proof of corporate affiliations, if you have made a corporate booking. Anybody below 18 years of age will not be allowed to reserve any room.

Your favourite things

  •  If you have made a request for a specific bed type or smoking preference, we’ll try our best to accommodate it.
  • Need an extra bed in your room? No problem, we can set it up at Rs.1,500 plus applicable tax and service charge.
  • Kids stay free (room only)! Two children below the age of 12 years stay for free in the same room

No smoking

The Government of India has introduced a ‘no smoking’ rule for hotels, restaurants and all public places. This means smoking is prohibited in all parts of the hotel except in designated guest rooms. Should you want a smoking room, please inform us when you make your reservation. Any kind of drugs, illegal substance or any illegal material is not permissible and will be reported and legal action would be taken if found to be used.

Damage Policy

Damage and theft of hotel property

You are liable for any damage caused (whether by the deliberant, negligence, or reckless act to the room (s), hotel’s premises or property caused by you or any person in your party whether or not staying at the hotel during your stay. MGOH has the right to charge the credit /debit card/cash in such amounts as it shall in its sole discretion deem necessary to compensate or make good the cost or expenses incurred or suffered by MGOH as a result of the aforesaid. Should this damage come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right to contact you hereby authorise us to charge your payment for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc. We will make every effort to rectify any damage internally prior to contracting a specialist to make the repairs, and therefore will make every effort to keep any costs that the guest would incur to a minimum.

Damage to room

Damage to rooms, fixtures, furnishing and equipment including the removal of electronic equipment, towels, etc. as well as damage to sheets from for example permanent marker, dyed hair colour, fruit colour and things that make unremovable stain will be charged at 150% of full and new replacement value plus any shipping and handling charges. Any damage to hotel property, whether accidental or willful, is the responsibility of the registered guest for each particular room. Any costs associated with repairs and/or replacement will be charged to the registered guest. In extreme cases, criminal charges will be pursued.

Damage or tampering to with fire detection/ fire-fighting equipment

MGOH reserves the right to take action against any guest or visitor found to have tampered or interfered with any detection equipment throughout the hotel, including detector heads in public areas, guest rooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests or visitors found to have tampered with any fire detection or fire-fighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and will be evicted from the hotel. Depending on the severity of the guest actions, law enforcement may become involved at the hotel’s discretion. Should the fact that fire-fighting or detection equipment had been tampered with come to light after the guest has departed, we reserve the right and you hereby authorise us to charge your credit or debit card for any damage incurred to your room or the Hotel property during your stay, including and without limitation for all property damage, missing or damaged items, smoking fee, cleaning fee, guest compensation, etc.

Misconduct:

If you indulge in or has acted inappropriately, including but not limited to, anyone who (i) engages in offensive, violent or sexually inappropriate behaviour, (ii) stealing, or (iii) engages in any other disturbing conduct, we can immediately report such person to the appropriate authorities and then to the nearest police station and report will not obligate us to take any action beyond that required by law (if any) or cause us to incur any liability to you.
